Project management uses techniques, strategies, and skills to accomplish goals with agreed-upon requirements. Scrum is a project management type that achieves results by improving communication, collaboration, and development pace.

The scrum method stresses collective choices and constant and relevant feedback to all stakeholders. Teams often use scrum for projects performed in brief stages, such as a week. After the brief stage, the project team reconvenes to determine the focus of the job before moving to the next phase. The scrum technique also emphasizes deliverable components of a project at different points instead of waiting and releasing the final project at completion.

A classic type of project management is the waterfall. The waterfall technique has strict limits and expectations with minimal modifications to the project plan. Teams execute the phases in a sequential manner that flows like a waterfall.

Agile is a type of project management based on tiny, progressive actions. This technique allows project managers to pivot and assimilate changes seamlessly, making agile useful in projects with high uncertainty. Teams use the agile method for unpredictable projects.
